Mohammad Arfat Wani, a resident of Kachmulla village in Tral, Pulwama, developed a passion for writing from an early age. He completed his schooling at Roop Rishi Islamia High School, Kachmulla, followed by higher secondary education at Government Higher Secondary School.
Over the years, he has developed his voice as a writer, poet, short story author and social commentator, using the written word to discuss issues affecting society.
With 60+ published contributions in Urdu and English newspapers and three magazines, his work has reached readers through several prominent publications across Kashmir and beyond.
His writing explores subjects ranging from human rights and educational reform to mental health awareness, women's rights, social justice, environmental challenges and community welfare. Rather than simply describing problems, his work aims to encourage critical thinking, ethical responsibility and constructive social dialogue.
