Imran Yousuf Dar

Imran Yousuf Dar, widely known as Imran Kashmiri, represents a young generation of Kashmiri literary voices combining creativity with social responsibility.
His academic journey took him to the University of Delhi, where he completed his graduation and master’s degree. Alongside his education, he developed a strong identity as a writer, poet and social worker, using literature as a platform to engage with important issues affecting society.
A major focus of Imran’s work has been women’s empowerment, drug awareness, education, youth development and social change. His book, Stories of Hope: Awareness and Change Across India, reflects his interest in social awareness and initiatives connected with the Nasha Mukti Abhiyan.
Beyond his own writing, Imran has worked to create opportunities for other aspiring authors. As the Founder & CEO of Artist Press Publication House, he has been involved in publishing and literary initiatives designed to give emerging writers a platform. The publication house has published 100+ books and has also organized literary programs, awards, magazines and author-focused initiatives.
Over the years, Imran has received various awards and recognitions for his literary, social and community-oriented contributions.
His journey goes beyond individual accomplishments. Through writing, publishing and social engagement, he aims to amplify new voices, encourage young writers, spread awareness and contribute to positive social change.
